National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929.
50% of Our Lady of Wisdom middle school students are National Junior Honor Society inductees.
Students in grades 6–8 who meet the requirements for membership are eligible to be invited for membership.
Students must be in their second semester of sixth grade for consideration.
Qualifications for membership are based on the five pillars of NJHS:
Students who accept membership and are inducted into the chapter will be required to attend chapter meetings. Members also must participate in chapter and individual service projects to benefit Our Lady of Wisdom and the surrounding communities.
