We are delighted that you are joining the OLOW community this year!  We know that you and your family have many questions as you prepare for this exciting new experience.  We have a number of resources available to facilitate this transition, including orientation sessions, class parents and our Main Office staff.  We are happy to help at any time.

When is the 1st day of school?
The first day of classes is for K - 8th grade students is the day after Labor Day.
The first day of classes for Pre-K students is the Wednesday after Labor Day.
The first day of classes for Nursery students is the Thursday after Labor Day.
Which Uniform Should my child wear on the 1st day of school?
Students can wear their Summer Uniform until October 15th.
Winter Uniforms will be worn from October 16th through April 14th

What time does the day begin?
The school day begins at 8:00 am for K - 8th grade students; 9am for N and PK students.
What time does the day end?
The school day ends at 2:30 pm for K - 8th grade students; 3pm for N and PK students.
Where do I pick up my child at the end of the day?
Our Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten students should be picked up at the two doors facing the recess yard.

Students in Kindergarten through grade 8 are picked up from the two white doors towards the left side of the building (as viewed from the street).

Where do buses arrive/depart?

In order to ensure safe arrival and dismissal, full-sized buses park on Myrtle Avenue in front of the school while mini-buses park in the recess yard.

What is the Uniform Exchange?

The Uniform Exchange is an inventory of used uniform items that have been donated by members of the OLOW school community.  Please see the “Uniform Exchange” quick link for details.

Is there a cafeteria?

Students are excused from classrooms and go to lunch in the Montfort Hall Parish Center.  The school lunch program runs daily.  Schedules are published in time for families to place their order for the upcoming month with ample advanced notice.

What are before/after care rates and registration procedures?
Before care is offered from 7:00am until the start of the school day.
After care is offered from the end of the school day until 6:00pm.
After care is not offered on days when school unexpectedly closes early due to weather.
